Are you a university, company, research, or intermediary organisation willing to share your successful knowledge valorisation practice? Then this call is for you.

No doubt, we all want research to benefit society. We all want to ensure that scientific knowledge and inventions are turned into sustainable solutions for the future. But how can it be done?

Many successful practices fostering knowledge valorisation have been developed by stakeholders, in regional, national and European networks, privately and publicly funded. They empower researchers, nourish industry-academia collaborations, support the launch of academic start-ups, connect research to societal actors and policy makers, improve intellectual assets management and tackle many further aspects of market uptake and the list just goes on…. So, let’s learn more about them!

Share your practice on the EU Knowledge Valorisation Platform and:

  1. Inspire others and thereby help accelerating the uptake of research results for prosperity and well-being in Europe
  2. Be visible and contribute to a new knowledge valorisation culture within your organisation and beyond
  3. Participate in networking with your peers and with actors of diverse sectors and backgrounds
  4. Foster cooperation across borders
  5. Get new ides by learning from others

What we can offer you is to

  1. Present your best practice at one of the 2025 EU Knowledge Valorisation Talks to an international audience
  2. Join the selection of the ‘best practice of the month’ promoted on the EU Knowledge Valorisation Platform, our Newsletter and the Commission social media
  3. Participate in EU workshops and events to share your expertise and learn from others

The call is now open to submit your best practice to present it at the EU Knowledge Valorisation Talks in the first semester of 2025.

There is no restriction of areas or valorisation channels, but we would particularly welcome practices related to

  • Citizen engagement and social innovation promoting knowledge sharing and valorisation
  • Intermediary services supporting knowledge uptake (e.g. guidance on market and societal needs and on readiness levels; intellectual assets management (including consideration of research and economic security; socially responsible licencing), use of AI-based tools for knowledge valorisation)
  • incentivising and mainstreaming an entrepreneurial mindset at universities and research institutions
  • Replicable practices of knowledge valorisation in European R&I collaborations (e.g. Horizon2020/Horizon Europe projects)

The next EU Knowledge Valorisation Talks in 2025 are planned for February, April, and June 2025.

Deadline to submit your best practice is 9 December 2024.
