It has also unveiled its latest autonomous outdoor security patrolling robot, called Ascento Guard. The funding round was led by Wingman Venture and Playfair, and includes support from the Swiss Innovation Agency Innosuisse and the European Space Agency incubator in Switzerland.
Ascento, a student start-up from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich), has raised $4.3 million in pre-seed funding to further develop its security robots.
