The European Commission has launched a call for evidence on European Partnerships to be implemented as joint undertakings under Horizon Europe 2028-2034. To strengthen the impact of European Partnerships, the Horizon Europe 2028-2034 proposal suggests streamlining implementation modes and using a portfolio approach to identify a limited set of coherent partnerships, with objectives closely aligned with the European Competitiveness Fund. Under this initiative, some European Partnerships will be implemented as joint undertakings in accordance with Article 187 TFEU, with clear added value, through a single establishing act with harmonised rules.
