The European Parliament’s Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) has published a ‘Draft report on the assessment of the implementation of Horizon Europe in view of its interim evaluation and recommendations for the 10th Research Framework Programme ‘.
The report deals with the technical implementation of Horizon Europe, e.g. the introduction of lump-sum funding, but also with the different thematic areas and pillars (ITRE argues, for instance, that pillar II has become too complex). The report also provides recommendations for the remaining duration of Horizon Europe as well as for the next Framework Programme FP10, where the draft report calls for FP 10 to be a stand-alone EU programme, amongst other issues.
