The ITRE rapporteur for the Cybersecurity act 2 Regulation and the amendments to the NIS2 Directive, Ms Marketa GREGOROVA (Greens), will present her draft reports on 8 October. The Cybersecurity Act 2 and the NIS2 revision package aim to reduce regulatory fragmentation, secure digital supply chains and establish uniform, high-level cybersecurity standards across the EU.
The rapporteur welcomes the Commission’s proposals and supports their objectives. The introduced changes focus on ensuring that the revised cybersecurity framework is implemented timely, based on evidence and under recurring review, while both the Parliament and the Member States are informed at the same time.
