The European Commission has announced a major boost to Europe’s AI infrastructure, welcoming six new AI Factories to its growing network—now totaling 19 sites across 16 member states. The latest additions will be based in the Czech Republic, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Romania, Spain, and Poland.
AI Factories are high-tech hubs providing startups, SMEs, and industry with direct access to AI-optimised supercomputers, technical expertise, and tailored support, accelerating the development of cutting-edge AI solutions. The expansion, supported by over €500 million of joint EU and national investment, promises to enhance Europe’s high-performance computing power and drive AI adoption in key sectors.
