The European Commission has published an updated organisational chart of its General Directorate for Research and Innovation (DG RTD). As of 1 September, the new director of Directorate B Healthy Planet is James Morrison. Mr. Morrison succeeds John Bell, who retired earlier this year. James Morrison’s previous post was Director of the European Commission Regulatory Scrutiny Board.
Maria Pilar Aguar Fernandez succeeds Irene Norstedt as director of Directorate D People: Health & Society. Ms. Aguar Fernandez’ pevious post was Director for ‘Health and food audits and analysis’ of DG SANTE. Before that, she was Head of Unit of ‘Health Innovations’ in DG Research and Innovation.
