The European Commission has received 29 proposals from research organisations to become the next Gender Equality Champions.
Half of the submissions fall under the ‘Newcomers’ category, showcasing recent progress in implementing a first Gender Equality Plan. According to the Commission, this reflects growing momentum toward a more inclusive research and innovation landscape. The applicant pool is also geographically diverse, with submissions from 13 EU and Associated Countries to Horizon Europe.
