The European University Association (EUA) has published a reaction to the European Commission’s Competitiveness Compass, which was presented on 29 January 2025. Under the heading ‘Stable research, innovation and education programmes are needed to build a competitive Europe’, the assocation acknowledges the Competitiveness Compass as the Commission’s response to the challenges Europe is currently facing and as a guide for the future direction of EU policies, including research, innovation and education, where the Compass focuses on leveraging investments to close the innovation gap, and on cutting red tape for businesses.
