HaDEA has published the “Advanced Digital Skills (ADS) portfolio under the Digital Europe Programme in 2025”. This publication presents key insights and achievements from projects in the field of Advanced Digital Skills, funded under the Digital Europe Programme.

The Advanced Digital Skills (ADS), one of the key specific objectives of the Digital Europe Programme (DIGITAL), with projects mostly managed by the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA), has become the backbone of the DIGITAL programme due to its complex interplay with key digital areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, quantum computing, and cloud technologies. It aims to support the excellence of EU education and training institutions in digital areas, including by encouraging their cooperation with research and businesses in the European Union.

The Advanced Digital Skills projects are expected to contribute to the Digital Decade targets set by the European Commission, in particular to reach ‘the employment of 20 million ICT specialists in EU by 2030’. For that purpose, the European Commission has allocated 400.5 million euro for the development of advanced digital skills for the period of 2021-2027.

In 2025, the ADS portfolio of the DIGITAL programme continued expanding and currently has 57 projects in total managed by HaDEA.
