The European Commission has revealed the finalists of the European Prize for Women Innovators, jointly managed by the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).
Showcasing breakthrough ideas from across Europe, the finalists are recognised not only for their scientific and entrepreneurial excellence, but also for advancing diversity and gender equality as drivers of Europe’s competitiveness. The winners will be announced at the EIC Summit in June 2026.
The competition features three categories:
- EIC Rising Innovators: Celebrating promising women under 35, with prizes of €50,000 for the winner and €30,000 and €20,000 for two runners-up.
- EIC Women Innovators: Open to women founders in the EU and associated countries, awarding €100,000 to the winner and €70,000 and €50,000 to runners-up.
- EIT Women Leadership: Honouring leaders from the EIT Community, with a €50,000 top prize and €30,000 and €20,000 for runners-up.
