The EU is investing over €43 million in 15 new ERA Talents mobility projects to strengthen career prospects and employability for research and innovation talents across Europe.
Funded under Horizon Europe’s “Widening participation and spreading excellence” component, ERA Talents supports staff exchanges between academic and non-academic organisations, with a particular focus on Widening countries. The aim is to boost cross-sector mobility, stimulate academia-business collaboration and foster effective knowledge transfer.
The latest ERA Talents call closed on 26 September 2024. From 117 submitted proposals, the 15 highest-ranked projects were selected for funding. The Grant Agreements were signed in 2025, and the projects will run for up to four years. Interest in ERA Talents has increased significantly since the first call in 2022, when only 16 proposals were submitted.
