The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has announced the winners of the 2025 EIT Innovation Awards, honouring Europe’s most promising innovators and entrepreneurs. The ceremony took place on 25 November 2025 in Budapest.

The EIT Awards are granted across four categories:

  1. EIT Changemaker Award: recognising standout leaders and role models whose impactful activities have the power to create significant social impact.
  2. EIT Innovation Team Award: spotlighting diverse groups from across the education, research, and business fields pioneering a transformative product or service.
  3. EIT Venture Award: acknowledging emerging startups within the EIT Community demonstrating exceptional promise and growth potential.
  4. EIT Public Award: the community’s favourite finalist, chosen by public vote.

Finalists in each of the three main prize categories competed for monetary prizes of €50,000 for first place, €30,000 for second, and €20,000 for third. The Public Award was presented separately as a recognition prize.

The Changemaker Award winner is: Laura Laringe (Germany), nominated by InnoEnergy, for co-founding reLi Energy, which improves battery performance and lifespan through smart software. Second place went to Laurie Lancee (Netherlands) and third to Farnaz Baksh (Estonia).

The EIT Innovation Team Award winner is AI Automated Industrial Analytics (Italy), nominated by EIT Manufacturing, for creating a human-centric AI platform that supports early issue detection and data-driven decisions on the factory floor. Second place went to the BRIGHT Project Innovation Team (Estonia) and third to VoiceMed (Italy).

The EIT Venture Award winner is ABLE Human Motion (Spain), nominated by EIT Health, for developing accessible, affordable motorised exoskeletons that support mobility and gait rehabilitation. Second place went to Sofi Alchemist (Finland) and third to Digiclean Solutions AB (Sweden).

ABLE Human Motion (Spain) is also the winner of the EIT The EIT Public Award winner.
