On 11 March 2025, the plenary of the European Parliament adopted the ‘Report on the assessment of the implementation of Horizon Europe in view of its interim evaluation and recommendations for the 10th Research Framework Programme’. The rapporteur was MEP Christian Ehler. The report was adopted with 472 votes in favour, 75 votes against, and 92 abstentions. In view of the anticipated Competitiveness Fund, the report is explicitly in favour of “FP10 to be a stand-alone Union Programme” (par. 58).
