The European Commission published a report on ‘Enhancing Stakeholder Involvement in the EU Bioeconomy Policy’ on 11 December 2024. The report highlights the importance of stakeholder engagement for advancing the EU bioeconomy, a crucial step in shaping a sustainable and circular economy. It not only maps out current good practice initiatives and identifies key gaps and opportunities, but also suggests seven strategic recommendations for improving stakeholder interaction. By strengthening stakeholder engagement, the EU can ensure that its bioeconomy policy is more inclusive, effective, and responsive to the needs of all stakeholders.
