The Fire in the Earth System (fEs) Congress 2025 will be held from June 2nd to June 5th 2025 in Setubal (Portugal).
The call for scientific and stakeholder sessions is now open: fire dynamics, fire effects on ecosystems (water, soil, atmosphere, biota….), fire in the ecosystem evolution, impacts, risk and hazards, management of forest land, the use of fire in forest and agriculture, fire history, fire evolution, firefighting, etc. The conference has a holistic approach and this is why the role of fire in socio-economic and spatial planning issues, fire prevention, fire in the news, awareness raising and management of fire and forest topics are very welcome.
If you wish to organize any activity (scientific sessions, open discussions, seminars, debates, training schools…) please contact celia.gouveia@ipma.pt and artemio.cerda@uv.es. We need a title, 2-4 organizers, and 200-words abstract, and 4-6 keynotes. The new website of the congress will be launched along the next weeks.
