This year’s annual MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships call has attracted considerable interest from the research community, with 10,360 proposals submitted to the European Commission’s Research Executive Agency (REA). Compared to 8,039 proposals in 2023, this represents an increase of 29%.
The fourth call of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions-funded Postdoctoral Fellowships had closed on 11 September 2024.
Since this year the United Kingdom is an associated country to Horizon Europe, so organisations based in the country will be able to participate on the same terms as those based in the European Union and other countries already associated to Horizon Europe. The UK accounted for 19.9% of the proposals, the largest share by country, followed by Spain (13.1%) and Italy 11.6%). 2.4% of the proposals came from Austria.
