The Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT ) announced in its press release dated October 11, 2023 the success in securing seed funding for the start of the AIT spin-off infrared.city in the amount of EUR 1 million . “AIT Infrared City GmbH” (infrared.city) is an innovative “start-up” focused on intelligent, resilient design and planning. The investment round was dominated by “xista science ventures”, a renowned venture capital fund focused on scientific research. Other investments come from recognized investors such as “2bX”, “Heartfelt”, “Antle” and “P3A Ventures.”
The initial funding will allow infrared.city to accelerate the development and deployment of cutting-edge technology to support architects and planners who prefer sustainable, intelligent and more resilient design solutions.
