As part of UKRI Building the Future Economy Plan-for-Action, semiconductors have been identified as a key enabling technology and one of the five transformative technologies for the modern world. Therefore, the Skills, Education, Manufacture Innovations for Semiconductors (SEMIconductors) programme has been developed in close alignment with the UK National Semiconductor Strategy, investing up to £18 million to support the semiconductor domestic manufacturing landscape and workforce development.

As a result of this, we are hosting two cohort building and networking events to discuss this funding opportunity which are taking place on:

  • Tuesday 17 October from 9-11am at the International Convention Centre in Newport, Wales (This event is co-located at Wales Tech Week).
  • Thursday 26 October from 9:30am-12pm at the Scottish Event Campus in Glasgow, Scotland (This event is co-located at Photonex).
